Water Quality Monitoring
Originally funded through NASA research grants, Ocean Imaging developed technologies to detect distinct spectral signatures from offshore sewage outfalls and terrestrial runoff sources. Since 2002, regular monitoring with those techniques has been incorporated into EPA-mandated discharge permits of several California outfall operators.
